Heal's

Hvass & Hannibal designed "Herbarium", a textile print for UK furniture store, Heal's, as part of the brand's first fabric design collection since the 1970s. The contemporary floral was applied to fabric and home goods.

British furniture purveyors, Heal's, selected Hvass & Hannibal to be a part of their first fabric collection in nearly 40 years. Inspired by tropical plants, Hvass & Hannibal produced "Herbarium", a delicate and contemporary floral that was applied to fabric and home goods.

Untitled for Tooled Up

As an abstract take on the idea of construction, Hvass & Hannibal incorporate disparate materials such as wood and coral to reimagine a spirit level for Tooled Up, a group exhibition celebrating creativity, craft, inspiration and skill. As part of the 2014 London Design Festival, Art & Graft invited prolific artists, illustrators and designers to take a recognizable tool of craft and transform it into a unique form. Losing the Plot

Based on data sources, Hvass&Hannibal presented silkscreen images and wooden pieces at an exhibition held at Kemistry Gallery in London.

Magic Hour

Personal work shown at MOHS exhibit in Copenhagen. The show consisted of a collection of 16 wooden images: 7 geometric relief patterns called "Assorted Hybrids #1-7," and 9 mosaics portraying fantastic and magical places.

Secret 7"

Secret 7" is a fundraising project combining music and art for a good cause. Hundreds of creatives are invited to create a one off 7" vinyl sleeve with a secret track. All proceeds goes to charity. Hvass&Hannibal designed a sleeve for Nick Drake's song, Rider on the Wheel.

It’s Nice That/ASOS Fixed Wheel Project

ASOS teamed up with It’s Nice That, selecting five designers to create limited edition cycling vests, sold on the ASOS online store, alongside a sheet of bike stickers. Foffa bikes also used the design to create a special edition fixed-wheel bike.

Ralph Lauren Art Stars

Ralph Lauren commissioned Hvass&Hannibal to create large wood frame art stars to celebrate their Polo Jeans line. Composed of hand-dyed denim, this star was exhibited in Copenhagen and London, before being auctioned for charity.

About

Hvass&Hannibal is a multi-disciplinary art and design studio based in Copenhagen. Since 2006, Nan Na Hvass & Sofie Hannibal have worked in close collaborative partnership with illustrative and conceptual design in a number of different fields for clients in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. Whether digital or three-dimensional, the studio projects range from esoteric illustrative beginnings to full art direction and graphic design solutions. Although often working with high profile clients, Nan Na and Sofie try to continuously maintain a positive balance between non-commercial and commercial projects, juggling between the two fields to keep their minds and hands creatively challenged.

Hvass&Hannibal's work has been exhibited in Europe numerous times, including Designmuseum Denmark,  If You Could and Kemistry Gallery in London, Allmänna Galleriet in Stockholm, Gallery Mohs Exhibit in Copenhagen, Rojo Out Exhibition in Barcelona, and NOTCH festival in China.
