Micah participated in the typographic collaborative project, entitled INKTHIS III. Each artist and designer was assigned a character to illustrate. Micah's numeral is composed of four states of matter - solids, liquids, gases and plasma.

Friction Spacemen Border

The duo of Jez Burrows and Lizzy Stewart are responsible for the innovative project, We Are Friction. In collaboration with Sting Statistics, twelve illustrators were paired up with twelve writers. Each contributor composed an original work and then created an additional work based on their partner's first. Micah's illustrations adopted the names of the poems written by Roxanne Paris. Graphite, ink, and digital.

Node

Fair-trade rug company, Node, invited Micah to design a rug to be ethically produced in by craftsmen in Nepal. Made available in a limited edition of ten, the design was created to be a repeating pattern.

What If...

Artwork for "What If...", a group exhibition exploring the theme of alternate universes at the River North Gallery in London.

About

Micah is an illustrator based out of Kansas City. His experiences living in several parts of the US, as well as studying in Brighton, England, have contributed to his sincere love for practical design, bizarre phenomenon, and wonders of nature and travel. He works with a variety of media, often combining digital aspects to several types of illustration and painting. Micah adores pattern, color and the notion that image-making is one of many straight forward and native modes of communication.
